Thought I'd post this as a headsup. We had a guy lose power at a fly-in with a Rotax 503 duel carb. Once down he restarted and ran it up & down the runway with no problems.
The only thing noticable was a milky film in his fuel sight tube. Which tells me he had water in his gas that was reacting with the oil mixed in with it.
He flushed the tank at home and hasn't had any problems since.
I don't know how the water got there, if the gas had water or it maybe condensed in his tank, but it managed to bring his PPC down.
Keep an eye on your fuel for that milky film.
;)
