Any Events in Texas?

Hey everybody, Just got started into this sport. Do not have my own ppc yet, but i have sure enjoyed reading everything here. I was curious if anybody knows of any events going on here in texas. Im anxios to head out and see some of these in action.

we are having a fly-in here in the San Antonio area the second sat of April at the Geronimo Airpark just west of town.............should be 15-20 ppc's there, lots of them from the Houston Area and a few from here............Richard ;)

Awesome. thats about 4 hours. but i think i will make that trip. be a good learning experience for me..

ok, get back with me late March and I will hav e specifics, tentatively, the 8th of April, a flight pancake breakfast at about 8 or 9am, then just flying.........the field is the EAA chapter 35 field a few miles west of San Antonio..........Richard ;)

Hi, I'm new to this list, just registered.

The Leakey, Tx. fly-in , held last week, organized by Houston's BARF Club, March 22-25, was a huge success!!!

It was the first PowerChute outing held at 49R airport in the Tx. HillCountry, more to come. All the pilots got airtime!!, some patience required, and everyone flew safe!! There is an aerial shot of the airport at
www.fltplan.com The acres of grass infield worked great for PPC ops.

My wife and I manage the privately owned FBO, Frio River Landing. We have hangars, vacation lodging, RV hook-ups, and camping. The river is just under the hill, minutes from the hangars.

This fly-in was on the Roy B. ultraflight radio show calendar of events. Not sure if the Bay Area Flyers post on this forum.
I organize some UL events held at 49R but this one was organized by the Houston EAA Chapter 123. Everyone was welcome and pilots came from as far away as Utah and Missouri.
