Discuss eh? Sounds like rotors near trees. Too many PPC pilots insist on flying from fields that have problems. Be advised and take care.

Parachutes rely on AIR being rammed into them to keep them open and flying. When you fly in gusty winds or around structures, antennas, trees, and other PPCs, you can lose that AIR and drop vertically until gaining enough air speed to return to controlled flight. PPCs are much more fun when you are in control.

Fixed wings are more forgiving, I hear.

Be safe and fly longer.

Rotors and other such distrubances can "bite" FW airplanes too. The PPC has the added factors of low wing loading and and the need for ram air to maintain wing shape.

Flying from fields with a lot of trees close to the runway is an invitation to a problem some day.
