Hey, Phil, not singling you out here, I chose your post to reply to because you stated that someone said no federal funds were accepted, I have not seen this posted as a definite answer. I thought someone had a book to look this up in, but maybe I was mistaken.

There were at least two replies that stated the airport was privately owned, and one of them was mine. Also, I provided the owners name, mailing address and phone number.

Maybe the issue is that the following fact is not commonly known: Being private owned, they are not offered federal funds. Federal funds (tax dollars) are only offered to publicly owned airports which are used to maintain local public airports. Many times our federal government built the airports and passed them to the local communities with many stipulations, the main one being, open to all aviation activities. This is the key point we use to gain access to these airports.
